Prairie Soap Shack
Five generations ago, back in 1905, Prairie Soap Shack owner Jessica Mose’s family came and settled on a farm which is now part of Flagstaff County. Jessica has a deep appreciation for the land we live on and all of nature’s abundance.
At a young age, she was taught about our native wildflowers, plants, and trees which developed into a bigger interest in her adulthood and eventually turned into her business. She handcrafts all-natural cold-pressed soaps, balms & salves using many local prairie ingredients. Prairie Soap Shack’s ingredients originate from many natural sources; from family raised beef for tallow to wild yarrow in her pasture for balms to her organic vegetable & herb garden. Prairie Soap Shack does not use any synthetic or artificial ingredients, and Jessica takes pride in creating products that are connected to our roots in the Alberta prairies.
Our lives seem to get busier and busier nowadays and with all the different information out there, it’s hard to know what is healthy and if we are making the right choices for ourselves and our family. Prairie Soap Shack keeps life simple by making soap, balms, & salves with the same techniques as thousands of years ago. They use high-quality oils, botanicals, and essential oils to make their products -so not only are their recipes free from synthetic & potentially harmful chemical additives, they are healthy for you too! Using passed down knowledge, reference books and guides Prairie Soap Shack uses local and handpicked wildflowers, plants, herbs, and resin to create beautiful and useful products for the whole family.

Rustic Essential Jewelry
The owner of Rustic Essential Jewelry, Michelle Hebert, is allergic to metal. Still wanting to wear jewelry she started researching non-metal options, and that is how Rustic Essential Jewelry came to life. Michelle also has another business called Essential Oil Young Living, and last winter Michelle decided to combine the two and start making essential oil jewelry! This is a great option for people who want to smell good, receive the benefits of aromatherapy, and at the same time avoid the chemical perfumes and body sprays! She creates metal and non-metal options of her essential oil jewelry suited for all women. How does she make jewelry that can hold essential oils? Polymer clay and lava beads are included in her essential oil jewelry that is able to hold the scent and the benefits for long periods of time! Michelle and Rustic essential Jewelry have moved to incorporate these essential options into earrings, bracelets, rings, necklaces, cell phone charms, and key chains! Rustic Essential Jewelry also creates handmade polymer clay pendants, “western cross” jewelry, metal cage pendants for lava beads, and more!
Michelle and her business are big supporters of the community! Living just outside of Forestburg, she gives back to the community by donating to local events such as 4H rodeo silent auctions, charity barrel races, and autism fundraisers. She loves to give back to the community that has been so supportive of her.
Speed Demons
Reegan’s love for colour, art, design, horses, barrel racing, skiing, and SPEED has lead her to create a brand known as Speed Demon. At a young age of 14, Reegan decided to create a clothing line that is both fun and comfortable. She works alongside her mom at Rustic Stars in Hardisty, Alberta. With the guidance of her mom, she was able to learn the ins and outs of design software as well as how to print her designs on different garments. She was sponsored by the MSport 6 also known as the “Air Conditioned Shirt” in 2018 after submitting her sketches to them. They were interested in her “Unicorn design” and a few months later the “Unicorn shirt” was created. This shirt was a huge success. The “Unicorn Shirt” was worn at the 2018 NFR in Las Vegas by barrel racer Kylie West. MSport 6 gave her an opportunity and also taught her that dreams do come true! Work hard, and follow your heart!
